Area II Vacancy Information
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Nye County School District will consider appointing an individual to fill the vacancy that exists on the Board of Trustees from School Trustee Election Area No. II at a board meeting to be held in Pahrump on July 20, 2023. The appointee must reside within Area II. A complete description of this area is available at the Nye County School District Administration Offices, on the school district website at www.nye.k12.nv.us, and at the Nye County Clerk's office. The appointee must have the qualifications provided in NRS 386.240 and will serve through December 2024. Trustees may not be employed by the Nye County School District on either a temporary or permanent basis. Persons interested in applying for the vacancy must make their desires known in the form of a resume and a letter of interest. These documents must be mailed to Nye County School District, Attn: BOT Secretary, 484 S. West Street, Pahrump, Nevada, 89048, and received no later than Friday, July 14, 2023, by 3:00 p.m. The letter must indicate the application is for Trustee Area II.
Area I Vacancy Information
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Nye County School District will consider appointing an individual to fill the vacancy that exists on the Board of Trustees from School Trustee Election Area No. I at a board meeting to be held in Pahrump on a date to be determined. The appointee must reside within Area I, which is comprised of Amargosa Valley, Beatty, Gabbs, Ione, Smoky Valley, Round Mountain, Manhattan, Currant Creek, Duckwater, Sunnyside, and Tonopah). A complete description of this area is available at the Nye County School District Administration Offices, on the school district website at www.nye.k12.nv.us, and at the Nye County Clerk's office. The appointee must have the qualifications provided in NRS 386.240 and will serve through December 2024.
