PVHS Student wins Silver State Schools Calendar Contest
Sophomore Catherine Cole of Pahrump Valley High School won the Silver State Calendar contest for the month of December 2024.
Students from all over Nevada in grades K-12 submit artwork illustrating what makes them happy. Judges choose one winner for each month from thousands of entries, and their artwork will be featured in the 2024 Happy Times Calendar.
Ms. Cole is in Art II and Art Club with Mrs. Dabrowski.
Ms. Cole and the PVHS art department both receive monetary prizes for this accomplishment, and Ms. Cole's work will be professionally framed. This year, Silver State Schools Credit Union will be honoring the winners and teachers at their Happy Times Awards Ceremony on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Additional details of the ceremony have not been released at the time of this article.
