DESTRUCTION OF OLD SPECIAL EDUCATION FILES
Nye County School District (NCSD) in compliance with the Federal guidance 34CFR 300.624 maintains records for a minimum of six years beyond the exit of a Special Education Student. The personally identifiable information collected, maintained and used by Special Education Support Services for students, who have exited the district in 2017, will be destroyed by April 1, 2024. If a former student or parent with a release of information would like to access these records prior to their destruction, please contact Special Education Support Services at (775) 751-4015 by March 15, 2024.
