Have your new driver sign a contract It can be scary to let your teen get behind the wheel of a car. Teens aged 16 through 19 have more car crashes than any other age group. To reduce your teen's risk, create a driving contract. Your teen pledges never to drink and drive or use a phone (for any purpose) while driving, and never to get in a car with someone who does those things.
