Addressing Recent Concerns about PVHS -- We understand that recent social media posts regarding a potential shooting at Pahrump Valley High School have caused concern among our students, families, and community members. We want to assure you that the school administration and the Nye County Sheriff's Office took these allegations very seriously and conducted a thorough investigation yesterday. They have determined that the accusations are false and that there is no credible threat to the safety of our students or staff. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We have measures in place to ensure a secure learning environment for everyone, and we continually review and update our safety protocols. To provide extra reassurance to our students, staff, and families, we have requested additional law enforcement presence at PVHS today. We understand that recent events may have caused some anxiety, and we want to ensure everyone feels safe and supported. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and report any concerns they may have to school officials or law enforcement. Let's continue to work together to keep our schools safe.
